Morning all, I hope you all had a good Christmas however you spent it. I have no idea of what day it is, all I know is I have a couple more days of freedom before I go back to work!
I’ve been doing lots of soggy windblown dog walks over the last few days- especially yesterday, see photo -but haven’t actually put in my running shoes. This morning I decided to go for it whatever the weather. Just as well as it pretty much threw everything at us - wind (😡) rain, hail, sunshine… so I decided to go for a shorter pacier run rather than a long one.
I tried out my new running neck warmer that mr Hettie got me for Christmas ( I sent him the link!) very nice and I especially liked the breathable holes at the front if you want to cover the lower part of your face. It wasn’t really cold enough today but I can see this is going to be a useful addition to the running armoury. I get so hot when I’m running I rarely wear layers but this might help on days when the wind is biting.
I just can’t wait for lighter days .. at least we are past the solstice now.. time for optimism. 🙂

We have the same, all sorts of weather at the moment and now I’ve got a pesky cough…I’ll be using one of my neck warmers next time I’m out..hope you have a lovely last few days of freedom
Merry twixmas, I'm a bit vague as to the day too but that because I'm retired. Your dog looks amazing on the beach, well done just going for it.. what a great gift a neck warmer is! I wear a buff and on cold days pull it up over my mouth and nose until I get used to the cold air, mind you it's windy but not cold so far
🍏👏Your Ebony is just too gorgeous for words. Well done on getting the run done ✅. In this weather when we are home and dry relaxing with a hot drink after braving it, it feels extra satisfying somehow!
