What better time for a run than Christmas morning.... On my second round of couch to 5k this year, my brother and mum died within 10 months of each other so it has been a very tough year and I stopped running in June. However, I kept in touch with the forum and found the motivation to get my runners back on and have just done Week 7 run 3. I have big plans for next year, maybe not big as some, but just to run 5k three times a week with a 10k run on the weekend. Normally it's stinking hot around this time but this morning it's cool with light rain. Wherever you are I wish you all a very Merry Christmas with lots of great runs in the New Year πŸ’•πŸ’•

Sorry to hear it's been such a tough year, CP, but well done for getting back out there and completing Week 7. Cool weather with light rain sounds wonderful - my morning's run was in a light rain, but probably much colder weather, and when I turned round to run back I was facing into the wind which has it's own problems, but also increases the hitting power of the raindrops considerably. Still, it was lovely to get out and run off some of the excess eating.

Good luck with getting that regular set of 5 and 10k runs. May 2016 be full of good experiences and happiness for you - and us all! Happy Christmas.

Hi Camino pilgrim. Sorry to hear about your tough year, it's never easy to cope with losing loved ones and Christmas is an especially emotional time. I hope you find some solace in running and I'm sure the others on here will offer you all the support you'll need to get you through the programme, you're almost there anyway. It's good to make plans and a 10k once a week would be brilliant I'm just over the moon to be able to run 5k but 10k is a fantastic target. Merry Christmas.
