What's the goal?

My town has annual 5K, 10 K, and half-marathon races. I'll be 92 at the next event and am considering entering the 5k race. There are typically 500 or so entrants but there have never, at least in recent year, been any over the age of 90. Intrigued by the possibility. of using C25K to prep me for the event I embarked on Week 1 and completed days 1&2 so far. It seems doable but I think I may have to double up each week before moving to the next, making it an 18 week program instead of 9. Does this make sense?

There is no age limit to the C25K training program, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, however, depending when that event is it would be advisable to complete the course, most of those events take place in the spring and autumn so you have plenty of time to train.

Sound advice. It's a fourth of July event

🍏👏Welcome peleg! How exciting to have that 5k in mind as you work your way through C25K. Take one run at a time. If you complete it do the next one. If not it’s a practice run and you do it again after a rest day.  AlMorr has given good advice! Please stay in touch and let us know how you are progressing. Here’s a FAQ guide for you.

Appreciate your words. I'll stay in touch.

Fantastic just keep it going, and I was going to give up exercise because I am 63 😅

Definitely don't give up if you're still mobile. I'm nearly 69 and can't wait to get out each run day. I've had to take time over the last 3 years, on and off for injury but I'm back on it now and love it

We need to keep going. I'm trying to follow Clint Eastwood's advice " Don't let the old man in!

Ye I agree with that, keep on fighting it
