New starter!

hi, just about to embark on couch to 5k after having knee surgery in April.

Although never a great runner I would generally run a few times per week around 3 to 4 miles.

Due to injury I haven’t ran for over 2 year.

I’ve gained weight and lost fitness, even though I continued to workout in the gym.

Need to now test my knee and try and get some fitness back and some weight off. Xx

Congratulations to you Gymgirl71 on embarking on C25K, I just hope you remain injury free, welcome to the forum, take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your running journey with C25K, if you wish report back here on your progress.

Welcome and good luck to you! I’ll just flag up a guide to the programme here with lots of helpful hints and tips. I know you’ve run before but I always find it useful to be reminded that running at an easy, conversational pace is actually a good thing and I don’t need to be a speedy speedster.
