A combination of a new route and very low sun in my eyes that meant I couldn't see a kerb and I went flying. Landed flat on my face. Ouch.I think I was really lucky not to break a) my glasses or b) my teeth. In the end it wasn't too painful and I got up and carried on.

This morning I am achy and have a puffy lip. Thank god I have two days off now before parkrun on Saturday.

But the important question is...did anybody see? 😂Hope you feel better by Saturday, don't let it knock your confidence

Mercifully no, so I picked myself up and did the last 20 minutes.

So sorry about your fall Ritmo, but don't go to parkrun unless you feel completly better, otherwise your injury could get worse, there's always the following week.

Well done for getting up and carrying on after that fall. It sounds horrible. It is mortifying when that happens but thank goodness a) you are OK and b) you didn't break your glasses. I bought a sun visor headband for just that reason, it's so difficult to see what's underfoot when the sun is dazzling you. No complaints about sunshine but it can be a hazard! You take care now and I hope your puffy lip is going down nicely. Enjoy PR on Saturday if you're able to take part. 😊

🍏 oh no! Poor you!! So sorry this happened to you! Glad your teeth and glasses are intact. A good soak in some Epsom Salts will help those aches.. Hope you feel a lot better tomorrow!

(A peaked cap helps me run in that early morning sun.)

Ouch, that sun is low at the moment, a peaked cap helps, hope you heal quickly

Not good but falls comes with the job like car drivers who can't see you and bad dog owners. Good luck and have an Excellent day.

I'm sorry to hear this, it really shakes you up doesn't it? I had a bad fall during lockdown and no one would help...I was out running on Wednesday too, that low sun was dreadful, made me feel quite queasy, and I was a long way from home.

Hope you're feeling ok now xx
