It was a gorgeous morning, the sun was rising over the horizon. I loaded up Coach B's 9k run for some support and guidance and headed out. After the wet and gloomy conditions, it was an absolute joy to be out and I soon settled into my nice and easy pace. 3k clocked up, this is going well, I feel good. 4.5k still good and I turn around to make my way back. A little left turning, oh yes that will make a nice little loop, but a fair way into the loop the lane is completely flooded. Well, I'm not getting wet today, so I turned back whilst doing some mental maths about the distance home. Now I've been finding on the these longer runs that the gremlins start attacking between 6 & 7k, so I came armed with sweeties today. Sure enough, up they popped, I thought you're not stopping me, and popped in the sweetie. Hey it worked...that silenced them. Now Coach B is working up to the final 1k, but I know I'm 2k from home. Do I walk or run, well I ran of course .... all the way to 10k. It felt brilliant and I'm elated, still on cloud 9. Garmin gave me a lovely badge and now I must get my shiny new badge from here too. Whoopee πŸ…πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸ˜

Super run report to go with a super run! Such an inspiration. I bet when you started couch to 5k you never imagined you’d be hitting 10k! So many more wonderful runs to come. For now? Enjoy your shiny new badge (visible over on Bridge) and do some serious celebrating! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ…πŸ₯³

It's 8 months, almost to the day, since W1R1. I wouldn't have believed it then, and here I am. Hubby said, well that's almost a quarter of the way to a marathon! Happy running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ ☺️
