W4 R1 - wow!

A complete running novice in my 30's, having not done any serious exercise for well over 10 years. Started C25k a few weeks back, peeked ahead in the schedule out of curiosity and have been dreading not only W5 (you know which run!), but also W4. I could never run for 5 minute periods, could I?

Well! With W4 R1 just completed, I've impressed not only myself but my partner too! Never did I think I'd be running for 5 minutes at a time! Twice in one run!

W5 now looks do-able (or at least, I'm not dreading it anymore!), which is absolutely mind-blowing to me. Well that's me taught - slow down, trust the system, trust the process, it will build you up! πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Having just done W5 R3, I'm not sure whether it was better to know or not know what was coming (I didn't)! But you're right - trust the process. It's made me achieve things I thought were impossible. The only think C25K doesn't provide is determination - that comes from us :-)

🍏 Not only have you impressed yourself and your partner but you have picked up the right way to tackle the program. There is no need to fear any run.. all the previous runs prepare you for the next one.. you can choose to repeat any run … so nothing to worry about. Enjoying them is the main thing! Well done! You have impressed us too!
