2023: W9R1 done!

It was hard 😰! The fact that it rained quite heavily in the morning was the least of it.

When Laura said something about finding your pace after five minutes, I had to laugh.

The pace was hiding from me the whole run.

Legs like lead.

And today there was particularly little oxygen in the air.

Towards the end of the run, the sides of my knees hurt.

I overdid it on Friday and should slap myself for it.

I should know by now not to switch. I thought it would settle down over the weekend, but I'm still tired.

So I ran as slowly as possible this time, thinking that I should know by now that I should run for fun and not play the racer like last Friday.

Good to know. And I will remember it.

PS: But I found out what's around the bend.

And you know what's there?

Another bend!🤣

Happy running!

You can do it! :-)

There's always another bend, 🤣🤣🤣 I too overdid it in Friday and have scaled back somewhat, think I have to accept I'll never be a speedy runner. Take it easy, drunk loads of water and sure the next run will be better

Looks a little hilly but that scenery 😍!

Congratulations on getting through the run. We all have days like that but those are the ones that make us mentally stronger runners.

Rest up. You’re nearly at the end of C25K.

Thanks! Here where I am there are not many flats for running. :-)

Lots of people say hills are speed work in disguise. So you’ll definitely be getting stronger running them.

That's soon to be my next run! 🫣I'm set to run W8 R1 first but just took a peek at the runs for the final week. I'm a bit trepidatious, but your post has helped. Your experience of hard going at first chimed with my last run. Must try not to run at the tempo of the music I'm listening to and stick to my own groove. I'll just put in to practice all the advice so far and take one run at a time.

Happy running, congrats you're so close to your goal 🏃‍♀️😊 👍
