Some people post on here about having less enjoyable runs - like I did on Friday. But I’ve usually found that one of “those” runs is followed by a much better run, and my run today was one of those “better” runs. I generally put this down to expectations being lower.
I mentioned on Friday that my pace was not great, and I was concerned about not being able to do 3k on 30mins for the Running World Cup.....
Don’t get me wrong, speed is not everything to me but I would like to be involved in this. Well today I did 3.1k in the run segment, so I’m very pleased with that, and definitely not grumpy! 👍😆😁

Congrats! Like you say it's probably because you've taken the pressure off yourself a bit and lowered your expectations.
I have to confess that I haven't even looked at what I'm supposed to be doing for the World Cup - I'll need to read up on that! Don't want to let the side down 😁
Me neither, what team are you in? The only thing I know is that you need to run at least 3k in 30mins and that you can link Strava to it to transfer your run data.
Lol - you know more than me! The teams are our country aren't they? I was just waiting for another email to tell me what to do.
So I've just been on the site and running starts on 5th March -11th. During that time you clock all your runs. You have to run 3k in 30 minutes to make your run count. All of your runs go towards your team's tally. It's a knockout competition so if your country gets through then you start all over again and so on as you progress (hopefully!) through the competition! I'll need to read a bit more to find out about the Strava bit!
Glad to hear you had a good run today! Two more runs to go before graduation! You'll definitely be able to do the Runningworldcup in March! I'm really looking forward to it! 🏃🏼♀️🏆
