This week I tried to run week 6 run 3 and failed half way. I felt crap. The 25 mins kept nagging me.
Out of the blue a reminder popped up that I had stopped drinking alcohol 12 months ago and it reminded me that we have to fail to succeed. It made me get back up dust my trainers and have a go again. The voices in my my head were saying this is a long time, you can’t do this, and that’s so long to go. So this time I told the negative voices that I am alive, I am grateful to being here breathing and I am so lucky to be able to run.
Today I ran it, I did it. I feel absolutely brilliant. #Mindset

You are very lucky to be able to run and congratulations on running run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, well done on giving up alcohol 12 months ago and living a healthier lifestyle by taking up running and C25K, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs.
🍏So much about running requires our minds as well as our legs! Our brains are incredible.. the more we remind ourselves we can do this, the more they respond…You will never forget this achievement today and it t will stand you in good stead as you move into the longer runs! However another more important lesson is not giving up when we don’t make it…that’s where your success began..,when you went out and gave it another go!!!! So incredibly well done to you!!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Well done. Many achievements to celebrate - giving up alcohol, committing to running for 6 weeks and counting, not giving up after a setback, being alive, being healthy enough to run and keeping a positive mindset are just a few. Keep on keeping on and best of luck.
