One Year Today

Have just realised that today marks a year since I completed W1 R1. I had put it off so many times since first reading about C25K and was a master at coming up with new excuses not to start. I remember the happiness and satisfaction of finishing that first run. Giving running a chance is one of the best decisions I ever made and it’s now firmly part of my identity. I found HU near graduation day but it’s still been a constant source of good advice, support and encouragement. Thankful this morning to class myself as a runner and equally grateful for all the kind words on here over the past year. Hope you all have a great running week 👍🏻😀

I think it’s good to look back and see how far we’ve come. Those days when a 5 minute run felt like the end of the world!

Running is so good for you, physically and mentally. Many people hate the idea of running, often because of memories of running at school. But if they get started through C25K they often quickly learn to love it!

It’s great that running has become part of your identity. Long may it continue to do so!! 😊

This is absolutely brilliant to read. I’ve really enjoyed following your journey. You’ve come so far! Just think where you’ll be in a year, and another year…. Those runners’ legs have places to go!

Thanks for being an inspirational part of our community! ❤️
