I ran after school drop off again, taking a different route into the country park; knowing this was going to be a 28 minute run I wanted to turn it into a circular run - which worked almost to the second.
Pace seemed comfortable for the first half, but after an unscheduled (but urgently needed π³) loo break just before the mid point, my pace slowed.
For the earlier runs I seemed almost metronomic, but now my pace varies - usually speeding up towards the end. It always feels comfortable though and I am never out of breath. I am definitely going to need to carry water in this weather though!
The weird thing is I can remember 3 minute runs where I stopped the instant Laura started to tell me I could - even before she'd finished the first word! And 5 minutes seemed like a lifetime. Today was 28 minutes and I stopped because I am supposed to. But I still had 4 1/2 minute walk to the car and I'm sure I could have run that.
28 minutes running; 10 minutes walking; 5.75km.

Your fitness is certainly increasing - it seems like this program is exactly what you needed. Week 8 already! Amazing progress. Iβll be joining you in a few days with that run and although I donβt include the walks any more in my stats, I have no expectations of matching your pace ! π
Lovely view for your run.. youβre doing great.. sounds like you have really settled into the programme and now you only have five runs left! ππ½ββοΈππ
5 more runs to go, looks like it's going really well. Once I got to the big blocks of running, I stopped logging the walking bits, just so I could see how the running was going. Good luck with the remainder of the programme π
well done! I am on the same run as you - just did week 8 run 1 today - but I am going much much slower - hitting just under 4k including my walking warm up and cool down. Once I have 30 mins under my belt Iβd love to be hitting the distances you are!
