Parkrun #10 and the wife's 1st parkrun

Well what a fantastic day!😊 The wife decided to join me at parkrun this morning for her 1st ever parkrun. She is on wk6.3 so after walking to the start she ran for the 1st 25 mins and I ran alongside her. There was quite a big turnout this morning cos the sun was shining and the atmosphere was great. We slowed down to a brisk walk after 25 mins having covered more than 3.5k! She decided that she wanted to run the last 300m to the finish line and was pleased that nobody overtook her at the finish! Turns out after uploading to strava she set new pbs for every distance from 400m up to 5k. Super proud of her. I enjoyed running alongside her at a slower pace for me but at a still decent pace. Can't wait for next week

What a fantastic way to spend a Saturday morning together. A weekend isn’t a weekend anymore without Parkrun.

Every time either of you get a new PB the other should buy breakfast after Parkrun in your favourite cafe. Could get expensive.😂

I think it's me that will be buying breakfast!
