Already noticed some changes. Thinking more positively throughout the day, less worrying about things. A bit easier getting up in the morning. Having goals really makes a difference. I feel great 😃

Third run, third day
That’s awesome to hear! Well done 👍
I started week 2 today and really enjoyed the first run, was out early this morning.
I’ve also noticed changes and am feeling better overall. It’s kinda addictive, isn’t it!
This program really does change lives. As you progress you find yourself doing things that you never thought possible! And your goals might change as you achieve them. You feel proud of yourself - and rightly so!
Congratulations on finishing the first week. Go, you! You can do this. 👏👏👏👍💪
Welcome to the forum! Couch to 5k has changed so many lives for the better-it certainly had a massive positive effect on mine. I’m so glad that you’re already starting to see some benefits.
Well done for a great start. Can I just check that you’re not running every day? I might be misreading your title. It’s really important to keep those rest days between runs so you don’t get injured through over enthusiasm. Doing some strength and flexibility work on those days off running, and building in other exercise like walking, swimming or cycling, will actually make you a better runner.
There’s a guide to the programme here with lots of other helpful hints and tips. Well worth a read. Most important is keeping it slow and steady at a pace where you can talk in full sentences without gasping. Most of us go too fast!

Really good luck to you! Can’t wait to hear your updates!

Yeeeah I did, was worried about it not becoming a habit and didn't feel that tired, but heart was going a bit mad haha. I'll probably take it easy for a bit.. Thanks for the info! ☺️
Totally understand that! When I was just starting out, I was exactly the same! I think most of us just want to run and run but it’s easy to push a bit far and get injured.
When you run, your muscles get little tears and that needs time to recover. It’s really important to take a day after running to let that happen. It’s frustrating when the best thing you can do for your running is not to run (!!) but is is worth being sensible, especially as you start out, to keep you going all the way through. Hopefully you’ll find other things to keep you occupied on those days. I’m loving the gym and/or a swim at the moment!
Enjoy a rest day or two and have a fantastic next run 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Great stuff! Keep it up!
