app suggestion?

couchtorecovery profile image

what apps does everyone use to log their route? I’d like one that shows me where I ran. I have an Apple Watch if that helps?

I think a lot of us would likely use Strava. You have the choice of a free or paid version .

I'm still using the free version after 3 years 🙂

Ooh thanks, just downloaded, looks good and great that there's a free version.

Your Apple watch should show you where you've been

hi, if you have an Apple Watch then the apple fitness app on your phone will show you the route you went on any run or walk you record as a workout

For running, I use the Nike Run Club app, which shows me the route. For all my walking, which I use to commute, I use good ol' Google maps to retrace my steps to adjust iHealth, which tends to undercount the distance... Though I mostly know my routes by now...

I use runkeeper when I run outside. As with Strava there is a free or paid version

Strava...I like that you can connect to people you know, it's another nice little community.

I love and use Strava like most people and I pay for the extra features but Nike Run Club is brilliant too and when I do a particularly ‘good’ route I make a little video of it using an app called ‘relive’ that I presume I got the idea to use from a post here at some point.

The free version of relive works fine for me as it allows a basic video of the route over satellite imagery and has one tune you can put in the background. You can then send the video to others and they have to feign interest……😂

I use a Garmin watch so use Garmin connect, but have also just started using Strava as well to connect with friends who use other devices.

I use Runkeeper, which is free although you can pay for extras that you might find useful. I like it because I can chart the runs easily, and it tells you your pace and at the end you can see the split timings for each kilometer.

My daughter has an apple watch and she's been using that to log her runs--seems pretty accurate to me, but I'm not sure how it works.
