Right okay...along with the C25K app and my tunes, I've started mapping my route with the Samsung health app that came preinstalled on my phone...I've found I really like seeing my route after I've done it, and the distance covered etc. But, it has a really annoying robotic voice throwing stats at you all the time...and if I turn the volume down to drown it out, I obviously can't hear Laura or my 80s tunes?!?
Any recommendations for apps that are free to use, map your route etc but without an annoying voice?? As I'm near graduating (YES!!!) I also, thought it might be nice to have an app that can time a run, so just to let me know when I've done 30 minutes, Samsung doesn't even do that very well as it gives you the option of a "30 minute light run" but it's only a 20 minute run with 5 minutes either side for warm up and cool down.......
I think I can disable the Samsung one if not uninstall it....help?π€

I personally use MapMyRun. You can have it on silent or with as many stats as you fancy being told to you throughout the run. There are loads of apps out there, so maybe an idea to do a Google comparison to see what suits you best? πββοΈπ
You can turn the audio off in S Health. If you go into the running section and on the screen where you get the start screen, press the 3 vertical buttons at the top right and you should see an audio section. Try turning audio off in there. I use Samsung S Health with no audio and Map My Run (with audio).
Ahh, okay, thanks janisrunner, I'll give it a go π
I use Strava. I don't really notice or follow stats like splits and speeds and distances, but I like to use it as a diary of sorts. I take photos during every walk, hike, run, or bike ride. Between the photos and the map of the route, it's like a little scrapbook of things that make me happy.
I am so sure the fine people of Strava would hate for me to market their amazing app as "a little scrapbook"! It's so great for serious athlete type people, I just use it how I use it.
