Week 4 Run 1 in beautiful countryside

So today is a dry start. Knowing the local park is going to be a tad wet on the park run route I chose a quiet country lane near to me! Things are beginning to fall back into place!

why do I like running outdoors?

It’s seeing the wild flowers and the wildlife being in nature I can’t do trail runs at the moment I want to go with someone that knows them or I walk them 1st!

I ’run’ early morning beside the river (to avoid being seen by anyone I know!) and have loved seeing the trees burst into flower. I did W3R2 today and watching a heron fly almost took my mind off my tired legs.

How is W4? Seems a big step up from W3

I was thinking before the 1st run I might need to run week three again. However when I got out there and the three min run was not so bad I carried on the 1st 5min run I took it slowly and got through it! It’s a real battle mind over matter! I am sticking to set days for my runs Monday Thursday and Saturday!

Saturday is park run day so I add my 3rd run to that and enjoy the walk back with little extra jogs!

when I 1st started running I couldn’t run without water and was drinking all the way round! Now I have a handheld water bottle and only have a few sips dry mouth has stopped! I tend to have a drink of water and a banana before I leave home.

Love the picture. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy the view as you’re running along. I feel exactly the same as you about running outside. ❤️
