Graduated again after a 11 year gap

Hi All,

Finished week 9 run 3 last week graduating again after my last graduation in 2012. I dropped out of running not too long after my first graduation after I pulled a glute muscle and could hardly walk.

Although I recovered fine life as always got busy and I regretted not picking it up again. I tried several times over the years to redo the course but never seemed to get my mojo back. Anyway here I am again older and a bit heavier but back in the saddle so to speak.

Its my 61st birthday today and my family have bought me a gps running watch so I've got to stick with it this time. Just getting over my second bout of covid but I will be back out there in a few days.

I guess the moral from my story is don't give up, we all get issues, niggles, illnesses and injuries from time to time - dust youself down and carry on (and try not to leave it 11 years πŸ˜‚).

All the best,

David.πŸ‘

Many thanks Al,

Looking at your Bio you are an inspiration - I hope to work up to doing 10Ks too at some point. Kind regards.

Happy Birthday to you and very well done and welcome back !

You had a good rest in between runs:)

Do make sure you give yourself time to recover properly from Covid, a few of us have had to build back ... and then get out and out that watch to good use...

I had an upgrade to my running watch and had a new one from my husband, on my birthday too...last Monday... 73! I had just done a 10K race with forum friends from here on the Sunday!

You are going to have a great time and as a mere youngster, you will be up to 10K before you can blink!

Slow and steady as you go! x
