This week was so busy that I didn't have time to reply to your comments or write a post after my Thursday 5:30 am W1R2.
Today I did my 3rd run of week one after my Personal Training session at the gym on the treadmill (my first attempt on the treadmill). I had such a rollercoaster of thoughts and emotions:
- This is fine π
- My calves are on fire! π₯
- I am smashing it! π
- My shins are on fire!π₯π₯π₯
- Why walking is so much difficult that jogging... π€π€π€
- I feel light like a feather π§
- My shins cannot move anymore, I cannot walk - AAAAπ±ππ±
- I can see the future, happy me, running lightly like a pro - slim and joyful π₯°
- How many more 60 second runs I have to do?!?! So many?!?! I cannot do it π¬
- Wait, let's keep dreaming that I am light and I can run and maybe I will believe it
- Wait, I know this song, it means that I am close to finish π
- Yes, they just told me I have only 2 more runs and I am done!
- Why walking is so difficult?
- OK, penultimate run! Let's do it!
- No, no, no, no, not that fast, I can't keep up, slower, slower, yes, like a granny
- OK, final run, let's push myself - oh crap, I am running, not jogging
- I AM RUNNING!!!!
- I did it!!!
- Happy dance! Completed week 1!!! Ye! Ye! Ye!
My calm thoughts after few hours - I was running while fasting after 1h of proper kicking my butt of by the trainer, I felt light, as I had nothing but water in me. I probably burn quite some fat. Running without the dog, streets, made it easier, but a little more boring. Even if it's more difficult, I am an outdoor runner. Although next week may test my motivation. Will keep you posted in between my busy, busy life that seems to get busier and busier. Is it only me or the 24h of a day shrunk somehow?
I know we all know it, but I wouldn't complete week 1 without a proper regeneration. I had an amazing massage after run 2 on Thursday, and today (Saturday) I popped into the sauna after my run (all thanks to my gym). But I have also been stretching after runs and a proper long stretches in a form of yin yoga on my rest days.
It's time to get my legs moving and have a walk with my doggies.
See you next week,
Iga
