Run two of week six complete, and with no ouchy knee. I had two days rest with it compressed with a knee support thingymabob. Also, Idid knee strengthening excerises yesterday and as part of my warm up and cool down this morning. It was only slight as I said, but from now on I'm definitely keeping those excerises in my routine. Big thank you to everyone who replied yesterday, you are all wonderful β₯οΈ

Excellent π
Good to hear your knee is ok
Well done. I like to 'adopt and adapt' where necessary on my runs and it looks like you do too. Keep going because consistency is the magic key.
Great news youβre back out! Those little setbacks are a pain but you do end up learning loads from them. They happen to us all!
Enjoy some well earned recovery time. Take that next one steadily when youβre ready for it. Good luck! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Thank you, yes I'm definitely making the most of rest days, and those knee strengthening excerises. I'm out tomorrow for run three of week six and I'm feeling up for it. I'm looking forward to the 25min run, I felt ace after the 20min run so I'm anticipating the same.
Itβs an epic run, that 20 minute one! My favourite of the whole programme. Have fun with the 25 minute one. Sometimes if Iβve had an extra good run, the next one can be a bit flat for no real reason. If that happens to you, donβt worry-itβs a common thing to happen. Take it steady and have a wonderful time. πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Well done and glad to hear, when i first started i didnt do anything like stretching and didnt realise i needed to do all of the warm up/cool down stretching and strengthening exercises, but boy it makes such a difference, you learn alot about runners and what they go through when you be come a runner yourself π I went for my 10 minutes warm up walk ,13 minutes of continous running and 5 minute cool down walk and loads of stretching when i got back and no pain at all anywhere in my knees or legs (although i am wearing a compression sleeve on the right calf), yippee, it will take a few more weeks to get up to where i was with 20 minutes continous running (as building up slowly) but i am so happy py to get out there again in the beautiful winter sun
Good to hear, slow and steady and keep up those exercises.
Nice to hear the pain has gone
