I had a breakthrough! I can’t believe I ran for 5 minutes straight. But, even more cool - it’s a total of 16 minutes :o. Dare I say it, I am starting to trust the program. This run was by far my best and my favourite run so far. Definitely not the easiest of starts. I had been feeling quite down last few days (depression reared it’s ugly head suddenly) so the demons were at a all time high since starting the program. I wasn’t expecting it to go so well because of this. I was surprised to say the least. I didn’t get so out of breath and I didn’t want it to all to stop for the first time. My only challenge was to keep my legs moving through the tightness/aches. The wind was behind me the entire run propelling me forward which was a great feeling - it was on my side. I even had room for a kind of sprint in last minute which hasn’t happened since week 1. The gremlins are still trying discredit this achievement with all sorts of rubbish but I’m not listening!! 💪💪

That’s great... the breakthroughs are so exciting I find. 5 minutes is huge when you consider that 3 weeks ago 1 was so hard. Keep on those stretches for the stiffness, it will improve. The aches you earn, they’re the rebuilding, strengthening and a reminder of how awesome you are. The gremlins are always around, actively not listening is the key. Well done all round... I’m sure you will enjoy the next one.
Brilliant Bluepanda, bash those gremlins 😈🔨🔨🔨

Wow! That is encouraging. Just done W3R3 and the thought of running for 5 mins is daunting. Just reading everyone else's experiences is so motivating. Well done you for battling through - am full of administration!
It is daunting! But once you start, you realise it’s not bad and you wonder what was so scary. Starting is always the hard step. In week 3, you have already been running a total of 9 minutes (if I remember correctly). So you are totally ready for 5 minutes! The usual advice is key here — Start off slow. Its so easy to start off too eager but you will regret it later. You can always speed up (and slow down again) a bit during the run if you feel up to it. You can do it!!
Don't listen to them. I showed them who was in charge today also and managed a sprint finish. Haven't heard from them since but no doubt they'll be back on Sunday for the start of week 4
Well done
