Week 4 done. I think I'm starting to like this & my calves don't feel so bad...

Any survival tips for the big scary 20 min would be appreciated. HELP!!!

Top tip? Stop thinking W5R3 is big and scary. It isn't, as this post explains: healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Personally I find it helpful to break any challenging runs down mentally into do-able, ever-decreasing sections. So for 20 minutes you could use 10 + 6 + 3 + 1, for example.

Take things slowly and believe in yourself. You'll be fine. Happy running!

The link Cmoi has provided is really good in breaking down what at first can look like a big step. The programme is well thought through and tried and tested. It’s just the next run. You don’t need to build it up into a massive deal. You’re ready for it. You don’t need to do anything different compared with the other runs-just keep it steady and you’ll be soon finished with the biggest smile of the entire programme. I was more elated at the end of that run than at any other run.
