After my wee hangover delaying my run yesterday I got up early this morning and finished week 4. I think having a 3 day rest has actually done me some good, no issues from my knees, maybe they are a bit stronger by now but itโs a relief as I thought they would maybe shut my running adventures down not that long ago. Also I can easily complete the 5 minute sections now and am ready for more. Bring on week 5 I canโt wait ๐

Well done.

I think we'll see the words 'hangover' and 'delayed run' quite a lot over the next few weeks :-).
Glad you're enjoying it and I agree, I think an extra break does the world of good.

Thatโs good to hear . I am trying to recover from painful knees ( 2 weeks no runs and still hurts to walk ๐ณ) it all began with the 25 min runs . Iโve only got week 8 & 9 to complete so really frustrated . Talking to friends who run , theyโre saying to do it more gradually over a few weeks rather than suddenly running for 25mins .
Hope your knees stay ok . When I do return , Iโm going to take it a tad slower .
Good luck ! ๐

An extra rest day can be just what's needed and good that your knees are better. Well done you ๐๐

Well done! So glad your knees are holding up

Well done Rig, Iโm sure all your hardwork will pay off. My last run tomorrow and then I can rest my knee for a week or two! Iโll order one of those braces you recommend as well! Best of luck from one one FB to another!

Good going Rigpig! Well done. Yes, extra rest days seem to work and I donโt find that it holds back my progress.

Good news. Well done. ๐ Might be worth a look at the leg, knee & glute exercises over on Strength & Flex. Everything is connected to everything else (of course), and my pain in the arch turned out to yield to exercises for glute muscles! ๐

Look how far youโve come well done
Well done you. Good to know. I had a bigger gap this week due to other commitments. Itโs a busy time of year ๐

Glad your knees have been beaten into submission. Week 5 is the best!
