Stressing about knee!

Had a week off run due to just being busy. Had been up to 8k so on first run back I did 6k. Last night I did 5k and knee felt a bit stiff. I iced and elevated but this morning it's stiff and sore.

It's my left leg on the top slightly to the inside - anyone has this and have any advice?

Rest and RICE rule when it comes to knee pain. Hope you feel better soon

I think it will be runners knee. I think as you get stronger these niggly pains will go. My ankle and knee pain has cleared up (fingers crossed) and I think it's just a case of keep plugging away. Doing other exercise to improve your strength will help. I'm 17 days into a 30 day shred DVD, and I think that's really helped me

Eek was hoping it wouldn't be runners knee! Would you think some stretching and strengthening exercises would help or should I just completely rest? Frustrating!

It is just niggly rather than full blown painful but it's not pleasant none the less :-(

Thanks both for the advice I appreciate it :-)

No I haven't tried them. I'll give them a go if you've found they make a difference. i think the more I stress about my knee the worse it's feeling!
