Keeping going

Hi

Thank you all for the advice, I don't feel such a lost cause after all. I did week 1 run 2 today and felt a bit better already. I think part of the problem is I feel so self conscious I speed up when I pass people instead of trying to pace myself, but I'm sure my confidence will grow. x

Excellent news! The confidence will come and pretty soon you won't care about whether people are looking at you or not. :)

Good for you. The thing to remember when other people are about is that most of them are envious of you for getting off your bum and getting some exercise!

Good news ! No one is a lost cause...keep it going.

good for you :) we all felt self conscious at 1st, it passes quite quickly :) pacing is the way to go although it seems we have all spe dup when passing people at some point :D looks good doesnt it :D

Your confidence will grow and then the big thing happens you become addicted like the rest of us haha :D keep at it

I am 40 this year! Week 1, run 3 tomorrow along with first weigh in at slimming world :)

Well done! And definitely not a lost cause! I used to run in the dark and now don't care. Your confidence will grow :)

ha ha, when I first started I didn't pass anyone, not even people walking! I think that no one can really tell how fast someone is going anyway, and who knows whether you are warming down, or have just finished a very long run?

Not what you're looking for?
