Much better run today than I anticipated. The thought of running for 28 minutes caused much procrastination & messing about before actually getting on with it. I read somewhere on this site about hydrating well the night before, which i did. I noticed that I wasnt as tired, my legs not as heavy & seemed to recover more quickly after the run. I can't be certain that it was the drinking more water that did it, but I'll try it again before the next run.

Positive anticipation is great but we all have the ability to build barriers that really don't exist.
You have got this. Go for it.
It is far better to hydrate with 500ml of fluid an hour before you run, but if you are an early morning runner this can be impossible, hence the advice to hydrate well the evening beforehand. This FAQ Post about hydration healthunlocked.com/couchto5... gives mote detail on the crucial nature of fluids.
Keep running, keep running.

well done Midwife84!! You are nearly there!! You have got this. It’s “just one foot in front of the other” .. 👍🏻😬 that’s my mantra when I start feeling tired. I got it from my C25K coach Denis Lewis. Good luck! I’m cheering you on.
Denise Lewis is a legend. I really enjoyed having her as my coach too.
I don’t think I’ve often been for a run and regretted it. There was one memorable time when I was feeling a bit sick and decided unwisely to push though and then was almost sick in a bush but that’s about it. Pretty much every time I haven’t felt like it but have managed to get kitted up and out for a run I’ve been pleased that I’ve done it. The hardest part truly is getting on the start line.
Really well done for your run and good luck for the next one 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️
