Thank you for the responses to my previous post. All of the advice has been tucked away in case needed. I didn’t do the repeats as suggested. Downloaded an audiobook, got up early this morning full of determination and went out and ran. Having the audio to listen to helped me focus on the story and just run, distracting me from hearing my own heavy breathing and ploddy footsteps and thinking about how much longer I had to go. It was lovely being in the park with other early birds and the run was hard work but enjoyable. Longest run to date, 25 minutes and it felt good. Aching a lot now though 🙂.
