Week 5 Run 2 - check!

Delighted to have run this session without any major issues last night.

I’d have never believed I’d be able to run 8 minutes straight - twice! Tomorrow is the big one, 20 minutes but the program hasn’t let me down so far.

I am noticing some real benefits - I am sleeping better and waking up and feeling refreshed not like a zombie which is amazing. Also I have way more energy for doing jobs and DIY, the difference this is making is incredible.

The best is yet to come.

Stay slow and steady and prepare to be grinning for a week.

Hi, keep it up, your next run is the turning point and will justifiably make you feel brilliant. But its not just a feeling it is a major unlocking of your cardio vascular potential. Do remember all the great advice from mentors, read all the very helpful guides, take a look at the warm up videos on C25K too. The latter helped me enormously after week 5. In particular running and pace eased earlier in the start of the longer runs. (Eliminated the toxic ten, you may not have experienced this). Finally for me 6 months on I'm still not hitting 5k in 30, but my pace has improved on my 6 Parkruns so far and I've built up to 60 minutes and still loving it. Slow and steady is good, no pain no pain is a mantra. Well done.
