Wk 7 - just ran for 25 mins! Not going to break any records with speed but I CAN do this!

I am still gobsmacked at the ability I have found to run for 25 mins comfortably. As above, I’m not going to break any records but a Park Run doesn’t seem that far away now…. Could I?

As suggested on here I dragged myself out of bed and put my running gear on immediately and got out there - as Nike say Just Do It! Within 5 minutes I am noticing the sun through the trees and how wonderful the outdoors is, then Denise is in my ear telling me how great I am and how I can do this. I’d like her in my head throughout the day to be honest the praise and encouragement is addictive!

The other addictive part is how great I feel afterwards, after suffering with anxiety for years I get a real sense of tired yet calmness - that is why I’m still doing it 7 weeks on. The benefits are huge!

Anyone struggling just keep putting one foot in front of the other and even at a snails pace you’re doing it. Keep the faith, this programme is life changing!

Love the forum too, all the experts and my fellow runners are brilliantly supportive as a resource. I’m telling everyone to do it now🤣

wishing everyone a great Monday 🏃🏼‍♀️

that's brilliant , well done!! That is exactly how I felt when I did C25K .when I first started 2 years ago I thought I'd never be able to run for 30mins, but now Im thinking of signing up for a half marathon!

Im totally addicted to ParkRun, just done my 50th one and love this forum for all the brilliant support and motivation.

Keep going, you've got this!!!😃🏃‍♀️

fantastic, the benefits are indeed huge and life changing, I would never have believed how much it's helped me and it's always great to hear from someone else who's discovered it. Parkrun? go for it, I've only done 2 and both times I finished in the last few, I'm very slow but that really doesn't matter you still get cheered on by the marshalls and the other participants and it's a great experience. Happy running 😊👏🏃‍♀️🐌
