wk5 run3 done! Couldn’t avoid hills but still did it!

I’m actually amazed with myself this morning. This plan works!! I’m on holiday and perched on top of a hill. I thought about missing the run this week as the landscape isn’t very conducive to a beginner but I thought if I don’t try I’ll never know. So off I went at the crack of dawn at a very slow pace just concentrating on moving and before I knew it I’d run up and down a massive hill twice for 20 mins non-stop 😳.

Thank you for all the support on here, the plan really does work if you slow it down to just keep moving. 😁😁

Congratulations! I bet that hill was actually helpful in forcing you to really think about going slowly. People avoid hills but they’re absolutely brilliant for building fitness and the sooner you can get used to them, the better. It opens up Al sorts of lovely places to run. Can you tell I live somewhere really hilly?!

Enjoy the rest of your holiday-you absolutely deserve a celebration after a superb run today!

Thank you, next run Sunday Wk 6 - I have 2 more runs to do here so it’s nice I’ve done the hills once already 👍🏻 After every run I feel such a high!

Amazing! Watch out for run1 week 6-it’s easy to go too fast after such a high from the end of week 5. Take it extra steady. Have a fantastic time away.

Fantastic 👏👏 well done, I live on a hill and have a bit of a love hate relationship with it but it's great for building stamina. Slow and steady works 🏃‍♀️🐌☺️

Congratulations.

That is a milestone run.

Holiday runs are the best.

Stay nice and slow for W6R1 as it catches out more people than any other run in the programme.

Keep running, keep smiling.
