My wife the philosopher

After her pep talk the other day she told me once again not to compare my stats to others that have been running for a long time (my mates)

She says

“The only people you should compare yourself to are the lazy fat arses that don’t do any exercise”!

I love that woman

😂🤣😂

Yep... these females have us beaten all ways up when it comes to thinking!

You lap everyone on the couch every time you take your first step. One day you’ll compete, occasionally, with one guy and that’s you. If you beat an established runner, great, but it should never be the aim.

I’m not trying to beat anyone I am just in awe of my friends that run sub 25min 5k runs

There’s my target... one 25 minute run and I’ll be happy. I’ll still run, but that’s my target. Realistically I can do it eventually... but it’s gonna take time.

Arguably you are better than them as they are getting less than the recommended 30 minutes per session. That's what I tell myself, anyway! 😁

Your wife is still right .. boy it's hard to say that haha
