That’s fantastic to hear SillyGilly9 ! I don’t think any of us imagined doing a 5k at the start did we, and it’s so exciting when we do. I hope your medical check goes well and that all of your hard work has had a positive effect. 😊😊😊
Brilliant. I think it's also really important to recognise you ran for 45 minutes, 50% more than C25K week9. Have you thought of motivation to stick with the 3 runs a week? Parkrun maybe? It's a real buzz!! You don't really need a health check to measure the difference, but it will be re-assuring. Think week one C25K - one minute!!!!! Cardiovascular ++++ (Profile M70)
Parkrun is fine, I planned to run it in 45 minutes, but being flat and good running it has taken me circa 40 minutes on each of my three runs. I have run with others around me and a few behind, including some who walk/run at this stage of their capability. On this third go I was spotted by a F69 who had noticed me the week before and it tested whether I could talk and run!!!! She had done 67 Parkruns at around 40 minutes. Encouragement comes in spades, bits fun.
