1st 5k of the year DONE!

Went out for my usual run at 420 this morning taking advantage of the cool of the morning. At my usual field that I run around I intended to do the 8 laps, which is 32 minutes or 2.5 miles.

As I reached the time I still felt good, so I decided to try for a longer time to try and get a 5k time.

Well, i can say I completed 3.2 miles in 45 minutes. Feeling quite proud even now.

Back to my normal 8 laps next week and then on weekends try for 5k.

Brilliant and well done, it's a lovely feeling isn't it? I have managed 3 since I graduated at the end of May and am slowly getting a bit faster, so did the last one in 35 minutes whereas the first one took 41 minutes. I usually just do 30 minutes but if I feel good at that point I carry on a bit. Enjoy x

2nd 5k done now.

Seems I have found my natural pace, not fast but 0.3mile done in about 4minutes over 11 times this morning and each time with a few seconds of each other.

Roll on next weekend

Well since my I did a full 5k I have completed 1 every weekend.

Feeling proud about it, as even when wet during the week i was out there.

Averaging between 7 to 10 miles a week which is 7 to 10 miles more than 4 months ago.
