Return to running

Hi there. Been away from running due to mental health stuff for a year or so. Ready to start healing again at last. Should I start C25K from the beginning or later on? I feel like I could start with a short run but don't want to fall at the first step. Thanks.

Welcome back, I would advise you to start at week 1 of C25K as you haven't ran for about a year, remember to take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your second journey with C25K.

Welcome back !After a year or so I would certainly suggest starting from the beginning and also re reading the program guide

healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

There are many here going through the program again .

It's the sensible way to get back into it with minimum risk of injury

Begin again... it is great.Welcome back too!

Sooooo many of us have done this...including ne! After a real blip ,,,( end of 2020... ( also mental and physical slump), back from HM level to the very beginning!

It may feel trickier as you start, so just as ever, slow and steady. Just be confident that you know the programme and you simply have to trust it and KNOW you will do it,

We are always here for support and Catch-Up Corner is a great place to pop in and see whop else is there and repeating this...

Very, well done you.

We will watch for your posts!
