So completed Wk 9 run 2 today. Woohoo! Only one to go. Can’t believe it.
So have run into a problem with the app - advice please. Once I got on to the 30 minute runs I thought it would be interesting to know how far I’m running so I put on ‘map my run’ as well as Sanjeev. Initially I got the usual wee chat from Sanjeev every few minutes but about half way through it stopped. I didn’t actually notice at the time (sorry Sanjeev). I was doing a route I knew, having done it for a 28min run and so when I got to roughly where I thought I’d be at 30 mins I thought I was doing really well - must be getting faster. It was only after another couple of hundred yards it dawned on me that something was up. I checked my phone and I was at 31.5 mins. Since then I’ve done two more runs and the same thing has happened each time. C25k pauses itself about half way. So today when the ‘map my run’ voice told me I was at 3k (I’m doing about 3.6k at 30 mins) I rummaged about in my bumbag to find my specs and phone and kept an eye on the time. Not ideal - put me off my stride. So…..that was a longwinded story to ask - do other people have this issue - how do I avoid it - is there a different app to use than map my run which doesn’t cause this? I have an iPhone. Any advice gratefully received.

Some people seem to have had issues with the app pausing/crashing using different third-party apps to track their runs. Not sure of a definite solution but some of the suggestions included uninstalling and reinstalling the app, checking battery saver settings for the app and making sure it was the app on screen.
You could also download the individual podcasts rather than using the C25K app.
I assume you can turn off all pace/time/distance updates in MMR… in most apps this is possible, but I haven’t used that one. I didn’t use the C25K app once through the intervals as I was using Nike guided runs instead. Hopefully the issue can be avoided for your graduation run… after that it won’t bother you again!!
I don’t turn off the updates on MMR since I quite like to hear them - but you are right, once I’ve finished the programme I could just use the MMR app alone or something similar and not use the c25k.
Two things that can reduce app conflicts are (1) putting your phone in flight mode (incoming messages can pause the app) and (2) making sure anything you want running in the background is already running BEFORE you press start on C25k. Don’t know why that makes a difference but it often does.
Haven’t used map my run though so don’t know if the above will help with that. Might be worth a try though.
