Was worried about this run as felt like a big step up. It wasn't too bad but didn't run as far but guess distance will come in time. The main thing is any distance is further than the coach.....🤪. My big issue is calf muscle hurting.
Need to get back to healthy eating habits again though. Definitely feeling more sluggish letting the eating slip 😟.

As you run for longer duration you may have to adjust your pace to maintain that duration, so an automatic increase in ground covered is not a given, which is why C25k is duration, not distance based.
Apart from that, W5R1 is actually shorter overall duration than W4. This FAQ Post breaks down W5 and may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
Awesome, so glad you did it 👍Hadn't looked at the distance until your post - my w5r1 was a shorter distance than week 4 runs but I was going quicker than I should in those and the total running in week 4 is slightly longer. Felt longer tho 😂
So long as you can do slow, the steady will eventually come...
As the plan transitions to continuous runs, you will learn to call upon hitherto unknown reserves of slowness in the pursuit of your goal.
You've got this, and you've also got this forum to support you. I suspect nearly all of us graduates felt exactly the same apprehension at points (I know I did).
