I finally did it! I started at the beginning of the year, a couple of weeks before my 66th birthday. It’s actually taken me a wee bit longer than 9 weeks to complete but I don’t care! I did it and it feels great and I feel great. I’ve found so far that I like running. My aim now is to consolidate what I’ve achieved for the next 2 to 3 weeks and then start to include gradually some steeper inclines/hills. I’m just so proud and chuffed with myself.
So if you’ve just started this journey, well done and just think what you can achieve if you keep at it.
I’m so pleased for you Glyons! Like you, I started just before my 66th birthday and 3 years later I’m still trotting, never fast but still running so I know it can be done! Enjoy your consolidation runs and whatever comes after that!
