12 weeks ago I embarked on the C25K training program and today achieved it! I did the 30 mins but all that I could hear was my husband saying 'that's not 5k' so I carried on joggling until I got to the 5k mark. Legs like jelly and I was sweating like a weight watcher in a cake shop but I managed it.
12 weeks ago I struggled with 60 seconds of running but now I've done over 30 minutes! I even had a celebratory breakfast waiting for me from Mr Motivator (hubby!) So 5k done - 37 minutes! I've very smiley π
What's made me super happy is that I've done it without injury and my knee has stayed where it should. I did extend the gaps between runs a few times (to prevent knee flare up) and suffered with 'girl flu' for a full week but I was determined to complete by the end of the year.
I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and all the best for 2022! Thanks for all the help and advice and most of all telling me I can do it! I did it!
