Hello. I've not run in a gazillion years (still have all the gear!). Arthritis in left hip and spine and so a bit apprehensive about consequences of such behaviour. Used to try all the sports and now do very little, except drink wine and eat cheese. Keen to get fit and healthy again, but motivation is superceded by cheese and wine. This is not usually my kind of thing, forums but you all seem like super cool and supportive people and until my internal monologue returns, I hope to be motivated by this space. Will read the 'How to'.... guide (possibly whilst eating cheese) and hope I get my trainers on today. I will report back. I am still in bed as I type, so you see what I'm working with. Any advice for getting me out the door, appreciated! Have a good day one and all.

Welcome! It's a wonderful journey to embark on ... and nothing's nicer than a little cheese and wine in the evening of a run day!
Lying in bed thinking of starting couch to 5k today…..need exercise to chase away the blues!
Hi there. I highly recommend it! It took me a couple of days after signing up, then I eventually did my first run New Year's Day evening (found my old high viz jacket! Woop!) It felt like such an achievement to get out. And when a friend asked what I had been up to, it was great saying that I went for a run! Going to sort out a great playlist. The tracks I played really helped. Good luck. You've got this!

The hardest part of the scheme is getting those shoes on, getting off the couch, getting out and doing that first run.
I often snack on cheese. Better for you than biscuits or sweets.
