Hi everyone just making my first post here. I'm a fairly new parent to a baby girl and I'm trying to get back into shape but been hampered with knee issues. Somewhat completed a 10k race in 2017 but walked half of it due to recurring issues in my knee. Tried physiotherapy but moved homes twice before being able to resolve my issues. Current town nhs physio denied to see me as I am not classified as critical enough....

Hoping the C25K can gradually get me back on my feet and get me to sustain a healthier lifestyle.

I also like formula 1 see attached image :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

The knee strengthening and minimising impact are of particular importance to you.

Enjoy your journey.

Wow thanks Truffe, thats alot of info to take in and a lot of useful links, I've got to reread then and look up the strength and knee exercises which should be quite useful too.

All the best I’ve just completed week 2.. I didn’t want to run thinking bad for joints etc , I’m a member of meg Mathews menopause app and she’s passionate about oestoparosis. Her mum died due to osteoporosis.. she herself did C25k and after a year her own level of osteoporosis risk no longer a risk.. that inspires me just to take it at pace to get those benefits and I’m running on grass weather permitting x
