Wake up - raining. Shall I go or not? Yes let's go ..
"I can't believe you're actually going running on Christmas Day!" Mr B says
Compromise. I get up make coffee, take it back upstairs and we drink it in bed.
"Right, I'm going now". I say...
Kit up. Leg swings , a few squats and out.
It's a really heavy drizzle, and with the wind in my face. I'm loving it...
A couple of dog walkers wish me Happy Christmas π π
I pass one other runner who I remember from when I was running last summer. "We've earned a mince pie when we get home" she says...
Oh yes we have!
This first week of c25k has been both more difficult than the first time, but yet easier at the same time. I think it's to do with cardio fitness, but my legs need to get used to this running business again. It's why I'm doing the plan again- I know it works.
This run set me up perfectly for Christmas Day. Dinner cooked, eaten and slumped watching the latest James bond film on bluray. A bit strange without Dad here this year, but we all had a nice day. He wouldn't have wanted it to be otherwise.
I can't wait to start week 2 to try out the new bone conducting headphones Santa brought me.
Happy Christmas all! ππ π
