Breathing and runny nose

On week 5, I am paying attention to advice to slow down, so far so good. My only problem going out in the cold is my nose runs, annoying having to stop regularly and it interferes with my breathing. Hoping for any tips.

A good old fashioned handkerchief stuffed up your shirt sleeve or into your waistband or a pocket, works wonders and avoids, doing what many runners do, wiping your nose on your sleeve.

If it is affecting your breathing, just slow down.

Thank you, good to know it's normal. It's annoying though😀

In cold air my nose dribbles for the first 20 minutes or so of a run. This seems normal.

I get through endless tissues as I have sinus problems, for me it's a relief !

I feel your pain, as soon as I get out my eyes water which then turns my nose tap on. I have kitchen roll stuffed up my sleeves & I have perfected the art of running whilst blowing my nose.

There isn’t anything you can do about it, just keep going!!

Oh I have to stop and blow my nose several times on a run and in between I just annoy myself sniffing 😂All year round too! I just have pockets full of kitchen roll. Tissues just don’t cut the mustard 😂

Well done on your running journey so far
