My first tumble!

After almost a year of running and hundreds of km I came a cropper right at the end of my 4km yesterday... I'd left home and realised the NRC app had logged me out so I needed too faff about, therefore decided to be brave and go with just music and no coach for the first time! Was doing really well, had a great run and was super confident and sped up at the end, my last 100m in the local park ...oof! Brick wall sticking out of the ground, hidden under leaves in the middle, bottom of the photo. Bruised ego and chin! Be careful out there 😒

What a nasty trip hazard! I hope someone can dig it up to save others. I hope your chin isn’t too damaged and sore. Speedy recovery! 💐

Thanks all, just a few bruises. Will write to the council.

Almost happened to me last night. I went out in the dark (bit silly in hindsight) and someone's dog had left a nice parcel in the middle of the pavement which I didn't see until my foot landed on it, slipped and I very nearly went A over T. Luckily, I recovered just in time but the air turned quite blue.

That's nasty... I've only run a few times in the dark, in the summer but try to avoid it.
