Week 9: The Grand Finale

Hey everyone - I did it! I actually completed the course. Can I get a high five? I truly did not think I could, especially in the dark and cold. And it’s taken me longer than 9 weeks but I really did it!

Now. Tell me what next please? And how on earth am I going to get over not having Denise talking me through my runs? I know it sounds strange, but really going to miss her.

Congratulations DC25K you did it! Here's your high 5 ✋it doesn't matter how long it takes you it just means you can run for 30 minutes without stopping! It'll take me longer than 9 weeks to achieve it but achieve it I will 😂 don't forget your graduation badge (this is all about the bling really 😉)

What next?

Carry on with 3x 30* mins for the next 3-4 weeks to consolidate what you've done. During that time, you can think about where you want your new found skill and fitness to take you.

* or you could gradually extend 1 or all 3 of your runs by 1 of 2 minutes per week if you fancy. See Weeks 7 , 8 and 9 for the method :-)

Just be a bit careful with the latter suggestion. Maybe do 3x 30 mins for 3-4 weeks first and then look at the 10k plans on our Bridge to 10k forum.

Not sure about Denise. I missed Laura at the finish. Found her again in Stepping Stones. I'm, now, happy with some nameless girl marking times and Km in NRC.
