C25k treadmillers??

I used to be here a lot about 8 years ago - when I did C25k at the age of 67. Now - after 240 x5k parkruns, many 10Ks, 10 milers, 3HMs and a full marathon, I am now 75 - where did all that time go :) Anyway, I am looking for something new to do - and it is coming into summer here now. In the past I have run at around 4:30AM to beat the heat, but my enthusiasm for this is waning. I have now got a treadmill and can run inside under a giant floor fan and I discovered purely by accident two Virtual C25ks on Youtube - so I did C25k Week 1 twice this morning , one after the other - 70 minutes in total . Surprisingly , I quite enjoyed running along the streets and the beaches of these two videos. They are here youtube.com/playlist?list=P... and here youtube.com/playlist?app=de... You can find all of the rest of the weeks in their respective Channels. Both are set in Aussie - one in Queensland and one in the suburbs of Sydney - hope this isn't "old news" :)

WOOPS! looks like my Youtube links aren't working ?? - at least not for me here. Not sure how to get around that . One is in a Channel called "Treadmill Pack" and the second is in a Channel called "Run Downunder"

Hi Bazza - good to see you again!

The author of the videos has disabled playback on sites other than YouTube. Your best bet would be to link to the playlist of all the videos:

m.youtube.com/playlist?list...

Thank you for that - that link in your post was for the "treadmill pack" playlist and this one youtube.com/playlist?list=P... is for the Run Downunder playlist. I watch them on an old Android tablet that I have set up in front of my treadmill

Video not working for me via that link, congratulations on running 240 parkruns and those half marathons and the one full marathon, you should be very proud of yourself, I assume that you live in Australia, we have a few runners on this forum from Australia and New ZealandI am in Scotland UK but I only started running 3 and a half years ago at 71, I graduated in June 2018 one month after my 72nd birthday, have now ran 30 parkruns, so a long way to go until No. 240😊I have also ran 76 (not) parkruns, 20/10Ks and 5/10 mile runs, no Half Marathons let alone a full marathon.

Lol I’m not surprised the 4:30am starts lost their appeal after a while, my 5:30 starts seem tame in comparison 🤣. You’ve found something that’s fun and works for you which is brilliant, it’s amazing how much helpful stuff is out there. Well done!

Hey Barry!

Great to see here again. I see you post in various FB groups but obvs not here for a while.

This is a really useful post for those who ask about how they can liven up their treadmill running ...

Not that our outdoor evangelistas will agree though!

😂 (Running is an outdoors-only activity apparently... Who knew?!)

Thanks again for posting and glad to see you're doing well,

John
