After a rough night of hammering rain and what sounded like hailstones and high winds, I ventured out into a slightly calmer drier morning for my last run of this week. The outward run was a mix of strong chilling side-on winds blowing off the Irish Sea but also a fair part of my route I had the advantage of the wind on my back, so it felt faster in some parts, however on the home journey I was facing those same winds head on and admit it was quite a struggle to keep going, combined with that recurring heel injury on my left foot. Did i feel like quitting… yes! Did I push on through…. Yes! Was I glad to see home…. Very much so! I’m so close to the final c25k runs now, i don’t want to alter my pattern, but my heel injury is beginning to cause concern and I may have to take two rest days between runs if it doesn’t ease up. Any how, another week completed and another stunning sunrise photo to share with you all from this morning’s struggle 😊
ps, don’t be fooled by that lovely photo, the winds were definitely real as was the chill factor they brought
