Good! Lots of beginners go too fast, get knackered then disheartened, then give up. The idea is NOT to achieve 5k in 30 minutes, but simply to be able to jog for 30 minutes regardless of distance.
So... go nice and easy. Keep it comfortable. You are not 'working out', getting a sweat on, getting breathless - no, no no.
If you finish the last running (jogging!) segment feeling like you have energy left in the tank, or feeling like 'that was easy' - then you have gone at the perfect pace. Aim for that!
It is certainly good for your mental health and for your general health and fitness. Your body will appreciate it.
I have managed to lose about one and a half stone without too much effort. I guess that will be a combination of exercise and cutting down on junk food, chips and currys (i still have them every now and then)
The running will really tone up your body muscles which I have noticed through having to purchase smaller waist jeans. Hoorah! π
Just seen that you did it! Great! Keep us posted. Post after every session if you want to, we never get bored hearing about fellow forum members' journeys!
Well done on taking those first steps. Carry on as the programme is fantastic and it works, the exhilaration and overwhelming sense of agreement when completing each segment just grows. Good luck on your journey x
Congratulations π₯³ ππ. Start of a great programme. It really works. I can see youβve done it now, glad it went well. Good luck with it and well done again. π
Congratulations. Anticipate the fantastic runners highs and the disappointing lows. When you have a less good run, donβt get down hearted, just get out there the next time and have another go. Hope you catch the running bug as I have. I started C25K in Feb this year and havenβt looked back (well, not too often π).
