Week 2, run 2 completed! ✅

Anyone else feel super motivated for the next run after completing one then struggles to go out in the cold when the time comes?!

Well done.

This is early days for you. When the bug bites hard you will go out in anything to get your running fix.

Absolutely! I’m sitting here really looking forward to my early run tomorrow - the conditions will be perfect. Come the morning, the gremlins will put in an appearance and I’ll moan and groan, but the feeling after is all worth it. 😁😁😁

I found my running mojo was gained by forming a group with others from my little village. Our abilities varied as much as our ages. 28-66.. We made arrangements with each other via a WhatsApp group we created, all six of us completed the c25k and some back up 5km's. I continued running and moved up to 2x5km and 1 longer run each week. Two of us ran Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, slowly edging the longer runs to 10km's. I have now been introduced to other run groups and I'm entered into a Manchester half marathon next May. I started running in my early 60's and now firmly in my mid 60's, I recognise it's one of the best things I've done. Energy levels increased, weight down by 27 lbs, Blood pressure down considerably.
