Do we actually get a shiny new graduate badge or is this just a virtual award? Ther eason I ask is that I don't remember putting any details of address anywhere, unless I forgot!
graduation badge: Do we actually get a shiny new... - Couch to 5K
graduation badge
I am afraid that the GRADUATE badge that we refer to is the word GRADUATE in black on a little grey smudge next to your name on the C25K forum...........yours looks very nice and you should be very proud of it.
Oh, there's nothing to be afraid about IannodaTruffe 😀
Indeed, just this morning I had to pinch myself to make sure I had just run for 33 minutes straight without too much sufferation - 3 would have been totally out of the question just a few short months ago. I still can't quite get my head around what I've achieved! Still nowhere near 5k in 30 minutes I'm afraid, but I am plodding away and it really matters not as long as things keep moving in the right direction 👍👍👍👍
Oh, and another 1.5lbs down and 0.2mmol/l off my HbA1C so things can only get better (as the song says!) 👏👏👏👏
I see it every time I come on here. I rarely use my phone to access the Net, I'm an old school kinda woman for sure 😀
I'm working my way through the NHS 12 week fitness plan modified by CBDB and it's working well for me, so I'll just keep going. I've just started Week 5, but I've been starting to modify it a bit as I find I have some fuel left in the tank after 30 minutes so I've done 31 minutes for the past 2 weeks and now 32 minutes this morning in relative comfort.
I am toying with jeffing it for 5k and see how long it takes me - do you think this will throw too much a spanner in the works? I know there's no way I can run 5k (I'm currently around 3.3/3.5km in my running section), but I am pretty sure I could walk/run it without any problems now. Your thoughts?
If you are fully comfortable with your 30 minute consolidation runs..........and it sounds as if you are if you are already doing 32 minutes..........then it will probably be fine to try run/walk up to 5k.
Most people increase just one run per week within the 10% rule, which becomes their long run, which reduces the risk of burnout caused by increasing all your runs.
The risks come when there is no structure in a running programme and random distances are run out of the blue without building up carefully.
I am pretty sure that you understand all that. Have fun.
There is a physical badge to purchase along with tees. See the pinned post...
