I just wanted to share my immense feeling of personal pride. My life has been punctuated by too few of these moments, and I aim to work on that not just when it comes to running. I'm 47, and was dreading hitting 50 physically unfit. I've attempted running on and off for the last 8 years, interdispersed with other exercise attempts. Then surgery in March this year really set me back. So finding this programme has been perfect for me. I respond well to the support and structure of it.
So thanks to you all. I did it!
40mph gusting wind, freezing temperatures but beautiful sky.
No looking back.....

Running can provide endless moments of personal pride and achievements. There are no rules (well not many) and you can set your own short, mid and long term challenges to keep those life affirming events happening for years to come.
There is life after 50, said the decrepit 61 year old.
